MetArt Gallery App
The Problem:
Users want a companion app for an art gallery, that will provide bios for artists.
The Goal:
To create an app that will provide users information on artists, their works, and where to find works in gallery.
Initial Pain Points:

Conducted interviews a wide range of demographics over the course of two days.
My research mainly consisted of interviews and looking at other apps that were similar. I initially expected users only wanted concise artist bios and information of the works within the gallery, but found that most potential users wanted ways to find artists within the art gallery. They also wanted to interact with artists.

Usability Study Results and insights:

Through my initial usability study, I found there was a need to refine navigation throughout the app, and address language accessibility issues. My second round of findings required me to further refine navigation, and consider future additions to the app overall.

With the information gained from the two rounds of usability studies, I applied those suggestions into the finalized product. Also keeping into account accessibility and leaving room for any future updates as needed. You will find the final Protoype below.
Final Thoughts and Conclusion:

The Metropolis Art Gallery companion app offers a wealth of information of the artists, exhibits, and events at the gallery while keeping accessibility in mind for it’s users. Furthermore, the app can easily be expanded upon for further growth as more exhibits and features are added.

"Yeah, this app has a simplicity to it, I think this will be something I look forward to using in the future." - Miledy

Through creating this app I learned a great deal on the process of UX design and learned the importance of listening to user feedback to further enhance a product and to maintain a product's longevity. Also, the importance of including accessibility features to widen inclusivity was not lost on me through this project.
