Stratford Foundation
Website
The Problem:
The Stratford Foundation needs a responsive website to engage users, with an express interest in making volunteer sign-up a priority.
The Goal:
The main goals are to make the site’s volunteer sign-up process easy for users, make the website easy to navigate on both desktop and mobile versions, and to maintain site speed.
Initial Pain Points:

In creating this website, feedback from users was used to garner an initial idea of features that users wanted. In addition to acquiring feedback, competitive audits of some direct and indirect competitors were done to get a general idea of what works well, while understanding what possible pain points this project could run into.
Usability Study Results and insights:

Through my usability study findings, I noted there was a need to refine navigation throughout the sites, and address issues with streamlining the general user flow. In addition, I made sure that my design was also compliant with visual accessibility standards (WCAG).

With the information gained from the usability study, I applied the feedback towards the finalized product. While keeping into account accessibility and leaving room for any future updates as needed, such as adding language options and voice navigation. You will find the final Protoypes below.
Final Thoughts and Conclusion:

The design of this site ensures a simple yet purposeful flow from page to page, while making it easy to volunteer for the organization in question. I learned much from this project, especially in terms of designing a website with considerations for both desktop and mobile users. Also, I acquired a wealth of experience in Adobe XD while working on this project as well.

“This site is really well thought out and clean. I wish more sites of this style had the same consideration of time availability in mind.”
